Operating scope
Successive route phases, and the route description is itself disputed. Route 18 from 2022-05-10: Breiavannet-Finansparken/Bjergsted, three stops (Konserthuset, Bjergsted, Haakon VIIs gate). Route 19 from 2023-10-27 without passengers, public from 2023-12-11: Byterminalen-Bergelandstunellen-Fiskepiren-Klubbgata/Kongsgata loop, reaching 97% autonomous operation by February 2024 and a first fully autonomous day on 2024-02-07. 2026: SRC-NO-09 describes a ~10 km BRT route Gausel-university hospital-university, five days a week aligned to hospital shifts; SRC-NO-08 describes ~2.6 km at ~40 km/h with traffic lights, roundabouts and a tunnel. Vehicle 8.3 m, 21 seats, capacity up to ~52. Lidar and thermal cameras reported to perform well in Stavanger's frequent fog and rain.
